Miscreant Recordings is the name behind Audio Engineer, musician, and Music Producer David Edtmaier.

Famous for his quality work and friendly professional service, David has been involved in music and audio engineering for over 15 years.

Over the years David and the Miscreant Recordings name have developed a strong client base through a solid reputation of offering musicians high quality music production services including recording, mixing and mastering that is the highest of quality, friendly, stress free, and affordable.  Our project studio has been specially designed to handle everything from the young artists starting out to even the most demanding established musicians needing a commercial quality product, and due to the low overheads of owning our own studios, we are able to deliver a quality product at a musician friendly rate!

Miscreant Recordings have recently opened up a new project studio on the outskirts of Melbourne Australia, in the coastal suburb of Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula coast with stunning bay views that offers his clients a comfortable quiet and inspirational location for recording.

David has worked with a diverse range of musical genres and is known amongst a variety of respected musical circles as a patient, approachable, and professional engineer.  Despite his love and appreciation of all musical genres, he specialises in styles revolving around rock, metal, folk, reggae and funk.

Our work is all top notch and appeared on both independent and commercial radio and TV stations throughout the world.

David and his freelance engineers are also passionate musicians who understand the blood, sweat and tears that go into producing music, we have also recorded albums with big name engineers as musicians and know the process from all angles.

Besides our inhouse services that range from full multritrack recording to mixing and mastering, that same mixing and mastering service can be done from anywhere in the world.. so if you have some tracks that need work and you’re overseas or too far away to travel here, we can still get that done for you, and help guide you through the process.  We have a large high speed FTP server for file transfers or can receive files via good ol’ snail mail.  All correspondence can be done over email, phone or skype.  Isn’t technology wonderful?!

David also works with the BalconyTV Melbourne crew as the sound/mix engineer at the Prince Bandroom in st kilda.  David has had the pleasure of doing sound recording and mix on the show for quality acts including Eskimo Joe, Ash Grunwald, Don Mcglashan and Neil Finn (Pajama Club) to name a few… you can check out performances from BalconyTV Melbourne at www.balconytv.com/melbourne
