Well isn’t the year flying! I noticed the other day that Kmart are already full of Xmas stuff which (besides the obvious) means we’re heading up to that time of year for summer music festivals! Myself with the rest of the Balcony TV crew are most likely heading to Pyramid Rock festival in phillip island for new years, it should be a stunner! If you havn’t seen or heard about this festival go check it out.
I’ve been busy as with Balcony TV meeting recording and mixing many different artists from Australia and abroad, we did a shoot up the road from the AIR awards last week and we had Adalita (from Magic Dirt) and The Holidays on the show, both great artists and well deserved nominations, Adalita even won one which was awesome to see!
I’ve been busy in the studio with mixing the latest God’s Of Nothing album, it’s sounding kickass! If you love good ol rock n roll you’ll wana get this one…. stay tuned.
I’ve also started a new service on the side with a recording studio in Auckland (and ol friends of mine) The Rock Factory. It’s called Trans Tasman recording services and offers another recording option slightly different to the standard way of doing things in that you have the option to get 2 engineer perspectives on your songs. Basically you record it in one country (wherever you’re based) and it gets mixed in the other studio by another engineer with a fresh pserspective on the song/s. This is a great way for kiwi clients living in NZ to get amongst our excellent mixing and mastering service and still get to work with a quality engineer in NZ. We have come up with excellent results from their recordings and very excited about being able to offer it to my NZ cients who worked with us while we were based in Auckland and new ones as well. They have quality gear for hire at the studio, excellent facilities, and very friendly people to boot!

I am here for most of the holidays so if you’re interested in any recording, mixing or mastering work, no matter where you are located, please don’t hesitate to get in touch about our great services. We’re here to help!
cheers!
